He never heard the gunshot
That ended with his life
Just an ordinary fellow
Had a home, a son and wife

The clock marked seven thirty
Barely getting out from work
But little did he seem to know
He’d never make it home

A couple of thugs took away his life
They thought it would be fun to rob a random guy
And now he’s lying lifeless on the ground

When no one showed up for him
He decided to walk home

He saw some cops coming his way
The same ones who would let him know
His parents were not found
